  • We promote local, state, national and global community partnerships in conjunction with organizations and business as it relates to collaborations and services rendered within a school, campus and/or community.

  • First Year Experience- With insights from students, faculty or academic staff, we explore educational trends and issues as well as specific strategies and recommendations as it relates to higher education scholarship.

  • Student focus- A signature feature we support student scholarship, leadership and service.

  • We promote services provided by faculty, staff, and students within the community (local, state, national, and global). Leading by example. We provide strategies for managing research, scholarship and service as it relates to the area of education.

  • An inside look at research projects impacting education. Faculty, staff and learners are welcome to submit their research papers for highlights in the magazine. Must follow APA guidelines.

  • Varies by editorial. We highlight donors and provide information on the donation and why they give to an educational program, school or organization. We ask a government representatives or an External Advisory Board Member interview questions about a variety of education topics as it relates to the campus, local, state, and national health topics.

  • Why Give Back. A testimonial— who gives to the organization explains why they give and how it supports the organization. Upcoming events and highlights.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Organized in 2019, UNLOCKED Magazine is devoted to growing and supporting work that presents industry data, expert and individual inspirations. In our magazine, scholars and students share encounters, skills, challenges, triumphs, and ideas transforming the learning landscape. Review the submission requirements.   • Our peer review articles must follow APA guidelines. Your manuscript text file should start with a title page that shows author affiliations and contact information, identifying the corresponding author with an asterisk. We recommend that each section includes an introduction to referenced text that expands on the background of the work. Some overlap with the Abstract is acceptable.

    The main body of the text, there are no specific requirements. You can organize it in a way that best suits your research. However, the following structure will be suitable in many cases:

    -Introduction

    -Results (with subheadings)

    -Discussion (without subheadings)

    -Methods

    You should then follow the main body of text with:

    -References (limited to 60 references, though not strictly enforced)

    -Acknowledgements (optional)

    -Author contributions (names must be given as initials)

    -Data availability statement (mandatory)

    -Additional Information (including a Competing Interests Statement)

    -Figure legends (these are limited to 350 words per figure)

    -Tables (maximum size of one page)

  • We are interested in articles composed by arising and experienced learners, faculty, staff, business owners, artists in all kinds of genres specifically related to innovation, academic enrichment, visual art, performing art, and educational empowerment. We are searching for articles that might advance learner careers, how-to tips and strategies that will assist them in achieving goals. Writers selected for publication will be notified within five business days.

    Letters may be edited and shortened for space.

  • Please send a pitch of your idea. Your pitch should be no more than four paragraphs. It should include: a short overview of your idea, why it matters to our audience, and a sense of the who (if applicable) you will interview for your story. We recommend you take the time to review our website and magazine content.

  • Our readers love personal stories about the ups, downs and in-betweens of growing up, gaining employment and . However, we cannot commit to publication of an essay or blog without reading the entire piece first. We recommend you take the time to review our website and magazine content.
